ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Sportsbook UI/UX Designer to shape and elevate the user experience across our sportsbook platform. In this senior individual contributor role, you will work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineering, and QA, with strong exposure to product leadership and real influence over UX and UI direction within a complex B2B environment.

Reporting to the Head of Product, you will play a key role in designing platform-level experiences used by operators, admins, traders, and internal teams, alongside selected customer-facing components. Your focus will be on user-centred design—deeply understanding user needs, behaviours, and pain points, and translating them into clear, usable, and scalable solutions across web and mobile.

You will create wireframes, user flows, storyboards, and interactive prototypes, iterating designs based on stakeholder feedback and usability testing. Working cross-functionally, you will ensure designs are technically feasible, aligned with business goals, and delivered to a high standard. The role also involves staying up to date with industry trends, conducting competitor analysis, and validating design decisions through research and testing.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

User-Centric Design
• Lead the design process with a focus on understanding user needs, behaviours, and pain points within the sports betting domain.
• Create intuitive and engaging user experiences across web and mobile platforms.
Wireframing and Prototyping
• Develop detailed wireframes, user flows, storyboards, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts clearly.
• Iterate and refine designs based on feedback from stakeholders and usability testing.
Collaboration and Influence
• Work closely with Product Managers and Product Owners, influencing product direction through strong UX thinking and evidence-based design decisions.
• Collaborate with Engineering and QA throughout delivery to ensure designs are feasible, testable, and implemented as intended.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and align design outcomes with business objectives.
System-level design and scalability
• Contribute to the evolution of a scalable design system that supports consistency across multiple brands, markets, and regulatory contexts.
• Think beyond individual screens and features, considering platform-wide usability, clarity, and long-term maintainability.
Pragmatic decision-making
• Balance ideal user experience with real-world constraints, including legacy systems, performance considerations, regulatory requirements, and delivery timelines.
• Make clear, pragmatic design decisions when faced with competing priorities, while protecting core usability principles.
Industry research and insight
• Stay informed about trends, technologies, and best practices within sports betting and related industries.
• Conduct competitor analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Usability testing and iteration
• Plan and run usability testing sessions to validate design decisions.
• Analyse feedback and iterate designs to improve usability, efficiency, and clarity.

WHAT WE ASK OF YOU

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX/UI Design, Human–Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in UX design, ideally within sports betting, iGaming, fintech, or other complex, data-driven platforms.
Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end UX work, including problem definition, design rationale, trade-offs made, and measurable impact on usability, efficiency, or business outcomes.
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite, with experience producing wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications suitable for handover to engineering teams.
Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first design approaches across web and mobile platforms.
Experience working with or contributing to design systems, ensuring consistency and scalability across multiple products, brands, or markets.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present, justify, and challenge design decisions with both technical and non-technical Comfortable working in cross-functional product teams, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and QA throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Experience balancing user needs with business objectives, technical constraints, and regulatory considerations.
Sports betting or iGaming domain knowledge is strongly preferred, including familiarity with sportsbook concepts, betting flows, and user behaviour. Candidates without direct sportsbook experience must demonstrate the ability to quickly understand and design for complex domain-specific products.
